TriMet considering 24-hour service, bus to PDX

Trimet holds open house to talk about changes

PORTLAND, Ore. -- TriMet is holding seven open houses during the month of November to talk about making improvements next year, and over a 10-year time span.

TriMet is considering implementing 24-hour service for three bus routes, including one that would take riders to Portland International Airport as a companion to the MAX red line.

The TriMet 2019 budget contains a number of projects, including the introduction of a low-income fare, testing some all-electric buses and electrifying a bus route, renovating some of the oldest MAX stations and enhancing treatments at rail crossings, moving forward on the Division Transit Project, and many more efforts to make the transit service better and more reliable.

In addition to attending the open house meeting, people can provide feedback online or via email, or call 503-238-RIDE (7433).
