Valentines Day is almost here, but don't worry, you can still buy flowers online.

But will they turn out as great as they look on the website?

We worked with our sister stations in Norfolk and Seattle. The deal is we all send flowers to each other and see how they turn out.

The three companies we test  are 1-800 flowers.com, FTD.com, and Teleflora.com.

So we used 1-800 flowers.com to send roses to KING reporter Jesse Jones and WVEC reporter Wayne Carter.

We spent $34.99 a dozen.

WVEC reporter Wayne Carter went big.

He ordered us Vera Wang Flowers and sent KING reporter Jesse Jones another nice bouquet.

KING reporter Jesse Jones spent $80 on each dozen and used teleflora.com.

So it's judgment day.  How do the flowers look?

WVEC reporter Wayne Carter was less than pleased to see our $34.99 flowers.

"Oh, Anne, I send you Vera Wang flowers and you send me these.  It looks like Jesse loves me more., " said Carter

Both packages sent to KGW were beautiful, although the Vera Wang box was a bit hard to open.

Jesse received his deliveries in Seattle.

He got some surprises, to say the least.

Wayne sent him 18 roses.

"WOW, thanks FTD.com!, " said Jones.

And our flowers?

"Wow, thanks, " he said sarcastically.

But turns out, one of the flowers fell off.

So what's the lesson?

You get what you pay for.
