Look out for the biggest full moon of the year -- a "super moon" -- on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

That's when the moon will be closer to Earth than at any other time during the year, marking the nearest encounter between the two until August 2014.

The moon will be closest to Earth at 4:32 a.m. PDT on Sunday morning, but it'll look large on Saturday night as well. Either day will be a good chance to see the super moon.

"We should have a good view," said KING 5 Chief Meteorologist Jeff Renner. "Skies tomorrow night (supermoon night) should be at least partly cloudy. Look east-southeast at sunset."

This year the moon will appear up to 14 percent larger and 30 percent brighter than a typical full moon because it will be only about 222,000 miles from Earth.

Last year, KING 5 viewers captured some amazing photos of the super moon. Share your photos from this year on our Facebook page.
