The officer was loaded into a Life Flight helicopter and flown to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. He died Monday.

Dozens of police moved in on the home and the threat to the public ended after the situation was "contained," before 3 p.m., Wurpes said.

Firefighters were originally called to the fire around 1 p.m. but were told there was a man with a gun and could not fight the fire, according to Brandon Paxton with the Clackamas Fire District.
