A new round of power outages hit storm-ravaged New York and New Jersey after a nor'easter brought snow and wind to the region.

 As much as a foot of snow fell in some areas and winds gusts reached 60 mph, but none of the anitcipated flooding happened.

More than 200,000 new outages were reported in New Yrok, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Officials in New York were able to deal with outages quickly. About half the outages in New Jersey were from the recent storm.

Customers still without power ten days after Superstorm Sandy struggled to deal with freezing temperatures. The damage from the storm, however, seemed minimal.

Temperatures were expected to rise into the 50s and possibly the 60s over the next few days, bringing relief from the winter storm.

Airlines cancelled at least 1,300 flights in and out of New York, including a handful of flights at SeaTac Airport bound for New York.
