DALLAS – Elizabeth Escalona, the mother who super-glued her 2-year-old daughter’s hands to a wall, is being cross-examined this morning. In a courtroom so packed that deputies are having trouble closing the doors, Escalona is testifying below a large screen with the word “LIAR” projected onto it by the prosecution.

The 23-year-old mother has admitted to attacking her 2-year-old daughter as punishment for having problems with potty training. She faces life in prison.

On Wednesday, Escalona took the stand to plead with the court that she isn’t a monster and can change. News 8's Rebecca Lopez is live-tweeting the proceedings, which you can follow below.
