AMY WINEHOUSE: CANCELS TOUR AFTER BOMBING ON STAGE
LONDON (AP) -- When she went into rehab recently, Amy Winehouse's people said she was checking herself in to make sure she could perform up to her capability when she went on tour. That hasn't worked out as well as planned so far. And after showing up late, acting strangely onstage and being heavily booed, the singer has canceled part of her European concert swing. When she performed in the Serbian capital of Belgrade, it was a disaster. She was late, seemed to forget her lyrics, dropped her microphone at one point -- and even asked one of her backup singers to step forward to finish up for her. For now, stops in Istanbul and Athens this week are being scrubbed. The next tour date is July 8 in Spain -- but her people say is unclear whether she will resume the tour next month.
