BRAD PAISLEY - "DIARY OF A PLAYER"

NASHVILLE (AP) -- Brad Paisley wrote his book, "Diary of a Player," to relive memories of those who helped him along the way, like Hank Goddard. Also he wants readers to understand that making it in the music business takes hard work so you're ready when opportunities present themselves. Most of all, Paisley wants people to realize that even if you work real hard, the career might not happen. He says he really doesn't "feel like one of these people who was destined to be a big star in country music or anything like that." Instead, as incredible a guitar player as we know he is, Paisley says says he thinks he "beat the odds and got here, as opposed to 'couldn't have stopped that train from rolling."' Despite all that, Paisley says "Diary of a Player" "was meant to inspire. It's not a book that's meant to say, 'Careful, this is a rough road."'
