CORONADO, California (AP) -- President Barack Obama says the Penn State sex-abuse scandal should lead to "soul-searching" by everyone in the country -- not just those at the university sullied by a child sex abuse scandal. In an interview Friday night, the president said what happened was "heartbreaking" for the victims. And he says the top priority is to protect children. Obama says every institution has to take a look at how they operate. Obama spoke at halftime of a college basketball game -- the Carrier Classic -- between No. 1 North Carolina and Michigan State, held on the deck of an aircraft carrier.
