MICHELLE OBAMA: HELPING NASCAR START THEIR ENGINES
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Michelle Obama will show up and a bunch of guys will start revving their engines. But it's not anything for President Barack Obama to be worried about -- since the guys in this case are those taking part in a NASCAR race this coming weekend. Mrs. Obama and vice presidential wife Jill Biden will be on hand at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday for the Ford 400 -- the finale of the NASCAR season. The event is part of the first lady's Joining Forces program to encourage Americans to support military families. The crowd will include 5,000 active duty and retired military personnel and families, and a military family will join the grand marshals as they carry out their duties.
