PORTLAND -- The only operational PT boat in the world calls Portland its home. And on Friday, its crew gave KGW a tour of the vessel.
Dozens of men, many military veterans, have helped restore the patrol torpedo boat.
"What we've basically done is to restore it to wartime conditions with all of its arms and guns and torpedoes that were missing," said Ron Taylor, one of the boat's crew. "We have visitors from all over the country that come and view this thing."
The PT boat is not available for public tours, but visitors can view the boat on the Portland waterfront during the Rose Festival.
