Semi-truck crashes on Highway 22; driver flown to hospital

DETROIT, Ore. - Delays of several hours on Highway 22 Sunday were caused by a semi-trailer truck rollover crash five miles west of Detroit.

Oregon State police responded to the rollover crash at about 4:45 p.m. An 18-wheeler carrying a load of paper had rolled over at Milepost 46. 

The driver was pinned inside the truck and had to be extricated.

He was flown by helicopter to Salem Hospital with serious injuries.

Both lanes of Highway 22 were reopened as of 5:45 p.m.
