Even though the United States lost to Belgium on Tuesday, the team can be at least a little bit happy, knowing that President Obama was watching them play.
He took a break from his busy schedule to watch the game with fellow White House employees, and got everyone in the spirit before the game, starting an "I believe that we will win!" chant.
But even words from the President and Vice President couldn't get our team a win.. So Obama and Biden tweeted to show their support and some post-game optimism.
Proud that our guys, just like our country, never gave up. Tim Howard--most valuable player in the World Cup. #USMNT— Vice President Biden (@VP) July 1, 2014
Next they'll be chanting, "4 more years!" - until the U.S. gets another chance in the World Cup.
