WASHINGTON -- Lawmakers from both political parties are furious over the latest outrage revealed about the Internal Revenue Service: Expensive videos made back in 2010.
Millions were spent on the silly training videos and lavish conferences during which they were aired.
The new head of the IRS addressed the issue while testifying before Congress Monday.
Daniel Werfel said his top job is restoring trust in the tax agencies, and he said he will expedite the applications of more than 100 tea party groups that are still improperly delayed.
"The agency stands ready to confront problems that occurred, hold accountable, permanently fix these problems," Werfel said.
