SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein has a healthy campaign stash as she seeks re-election to a fourth full term.
Federal Election Commission filings due Monday show Feinstein with $3.3 million cash on hand for the period ending in September.
Fundraising totals for her Republican challenger, Elizabeth Emken, were not immediately available. She had $26,000 cash at the end of the primary season.
Emken spokesman Mark Standriff said he was confident the campaign would be in "positive territory."
Feinstein spent $500,000 in the third quarter, bringing her total spending to $2.8 million. She has paid herself back for a $5 million loan she made to her campaign after she and other Democrats were victimized in an embezzlement case involving a former campaign treasure.
The San Francisco Democrat has raised $8.3 million total.
