INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A new poll finds that President Barack Obama has only a 40 percent approval rating in Indiana.
The poll released Friday evening by WISH-TV in Indianapolis found that 62 percent approved of the job that Gov. Mitch Daniels is doing, while 58 percent approved of Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard.
Obama is a Democrat, while Daniels and Ballard are Republicans.
Polling firm EPIC-MRA conducted the statewide telephone survey of 500 likely voters from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.
