Election Night Coverage 2016

Result: The Portland Housing Bond has passed.

Portland voters decided to pay for a historic bond to create affordable housing. Supporters said the $258 million bond could make a significant difference in how many homeless people are on Portland’s streets.

"Thanks to your strong support, Portland will build 1,300 new permanently affordable homes for the people who need them most -- families with children, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities. Thank you, Portland!" The "Yes for Affordable Homes" campaign posted on election night.
