PORTLAND -- Republican Greg Walden has won another term in Congress.
He defeated Democratic challenger Joyce Segers to retain his seat in Oregon's sprawling 2nd District./p>
First elected in 1998, Walden has risen to become chairman of the Communications and Technology Subcommittee and vice chairman of the House Republican Campaign Committee./p>
This is the second consecutive election in which he has defeated Segers, the former owner of a medical billing company./p>
Segers campaigned to improve education, keep Social Security sound and reduce the role of money in politics.
