RALEIGH, N.C. -- A new survey shows that Congress is viewed as less favorable than head lice, root canals, traffic jams, Genghis Khan and Brussels sprouts.
According to the Public Policy Polling study, Congress did fare better than the Ebola virus, meth labs and Fidel Castro.
“We all know Congress is unpopular,” said PPP President Dean Debnam. “But the fact that voters like it even less than cockroaches, lice, and Genghis Khan really shows how far its esteem has fallen with the American public over the last few weeks.”
The overall favorability ranking of Congress was nine percent.
The survey was conducted through automated telephone interviews with 830 American voters.
