PORTLAND – Former Multnomah County Chair Jeff Cogen is enjoying his new job, according to a Facebook post he shared Monday.
Cogen, who resigned as chair amid public scrutiny of his affair with a fellow county employee, and the subsequent criminal investigation, now works at a signature-gathering company.

“I've been really enjoying my new job as Vice President for Business Development and Strategy at Democracy Resources,” Cogen said on the social media site.
“After the self-inflicted disaster I created this summer, I feel so lucky to have landed in a job that lets me continue fighting for social justice, fairness and protecting the earth.”
In July, Cogen publicly admitted to having an affair with county health-policy adviser Sonia Manhas. Manhas resigned later that month.
Cogen's former Chief of Staff, Marissa Madrigal, was sworn in as the new acting Multnomah County Chair in September. She will serve until a new Chair is formally elected next May.
