Engineers in Great Britain have been blowing up trains as part of a three-year project to develop materials that would minimize flying debris in possible future train attacks.
Researchers are also working on cars with plastic coated windows and energy absorbing materials to reduce impact.
The tests are in response to the 2004 and 2005 attacks in Madrid and London, respectively.
