PORTLAND – When people in Portland are feeling blue, it might not have anything to do with the weather.
Portland was number two on the Wall Street Journal's index of most miserable cities.
The index took into account local unemployment, gas prices and fluctuations in home prices.
According to the index, Phoenix is the most miserable city, followed by Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and Los Angeles.
The least miserable cities were Boston, Cleveland, New York, Detroit and Tampa.
