VANCOUVER -- A 66-year-old Vancouver man reported missing last week has been found dead, police said Friday.

Edgardo M. Nobleza left his house on NE 25th Circle just before 2 p.m. May 11, and walked to the Barnes and Noble store at 7700 NE 4th Plain Boulevard, according to a family friend.

Witnesses saw him on the way to the store and inside it, but he had not been seen since. Family members said he had been suffering from dementia.

"He is forgetful and this is the second incident where he did not know how to return home," family friend Ken Mood told KGW when Nobleza was initially reported missing. After the first incident, Mood said police found Nobleza in Longview.

The cause of death was still under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call (360) 487-7500 and reference case #V12007666.
