KELSO, Wash. -- A man was shot in his Kelso home Sunday evening, police said.

Travis W. Russell called 911 just after 7 p.m. to report that he had been shot inside his home, in the 800 block of North 1st Street, according to Capt. Darr Kirk of the Kelso Police Department.

Arriving officers found Russell on his front porch suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Kirk said. Russell was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Police found the suspect, 40-year-old Bud R. Flowers (pictured) at his home and took him into custody, Kirk said. Flowers was booked in to the Cowlitz County Jail.
