VANCOUVER, Wash. -- Police have identified the man found dead in Vancouver last Tuesday.
Investigators said Keith B. Fitzgerald, 49, was reported missing last December and his body was found in a Vancouver field earlier this week.
A man told police he was out looking for his cat early Tuesday morning when he spotted the body near E 32nd Street and Norris Road and called 9-1-1, according to Vancouver police spokesperson Kim Kapp.
An emergency crew sent to the scene found a deceased adult male. Then, the Vancouver Major Crimes Team was called in to investigate.
Investigators said Wednesday that they do not believe foul play was involved in the death.
