LONGVIEW, Wash. – A 5-year-old boy was seriously injured after getting struck by a car in Longview Saturday.
Just before 6 p.m., the boy was hit at 1935 Dorthy Avenue by a car driving around 20 mph, said Troy Buzalsky with the Longview Police Department.
Crews arrived to find the boy lying in the middle of the street with his father by his side.
He was conscious with injuries to his head and lower extremities, Buzalsky said.
The road was shut down while medics took the boy to the hospital.
