EVERETT, Wash -- An Amtrak train was hit by a landslide near Everett Sunday morning.

Everett Fire Department officials said at least one car was knocked off a track by the slide that happened at about 9:30 a.m.

There were 50 passengers on the train. No one was hurt.

The passengers were transported to another rail car and continued on to their destination.

Amtrak says service between Seattle to Everett will be disrupted until 8:45 a.m.Tuesday.  Alternate transportation will be provided.
