MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — A 41-year-old Medford-area man was arrested Thursday after firing shots in the neighborhood where residents say there have been months of complaints over loud music at his home.
The Jackson County sheriff's office says Jon Ware threatened to shoot neighbors who approached his home and fired a rifle in their direction.
The Mail Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/VAQxxP ) arriving deputies heard more shots so they evacuated the neighborhood. More than 30 officers from the sheriff's office, Talent police and Oregon State Police were at the scene at one point.
Ware eventually surrendered and was jailed on charges of menacing, reckless endangering and unlawful use of a weapon.
Deputies had been called to the home four times in December and five times in January on noise complaints.
