KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — A 15-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of another teenager.
A medical examiner said Mason Tucker, also a 15-year-old, died of a gunshot wound to the face.
Deputy District Attorney Sharon Forster says the suspect, Carson Alexander McDowell, said the shooting was an accident when he called 911 on Sunday. She says that based on their interview with McDowell, investigators don't think it was.
The Herald and News reported (http://bit.ly/Ux5JHG ) Wednesday both were students at Henley High School.
McDowell was held with bail set at $250,000.
