SALEM – A search is under way for a Salem man missing after going on a camping trip alone.

Family members told authorities said Todd Miklia, 41, left for a camping trip last Saturday and didn’t return home as planned.

Miklia was described as 5’11” tall, weighing 210 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, jeans and a tan baseball cap.

He did not tell his family exactly where he planned to camp.

He was driving a 1997 white Ford F-150 with a black & white bumper sticker on the back bumper from Stephens Middle School with a paw print on it. His license plate number is: Oregon #695 BKD.

Miklia has five children ranging in age from 10 to 17. His mother has also arrived from South Dakota to help in the search.

Anyone with information that may help authorities find Miklia was urged to contact detective Boyce with the Salem Police Department, at 503.588.6050 ext 7163.
