SALEM – Two women were arrested in Salem Monday after a police chase that reached speeds near 80 mph.

Oregon State Police said they tried to pull over a car for a violation near Portland Road and I-5 around midnight. The car took off and eventually crashed into two other vehicles near the intersection of Silverton Road NE and Fisher Road NE.

No one was hurt.

Police arrested driver 29-year-old Rosalind Garcia on an outstanding warrant for methamphetamine, in addition to DUII, attempting to elude police, reckless driving and hit-and-run.

The passenger, 30-year-old Lisa Dalila Alcala, was arrested on a parole violation.
