SALEM – A man whose body was found in Salem early Saturday morning died from a gunshot wound, police said Monday.
Police responding to the report of shots fired near Fairway Avenue South and Reese Hill Road found the body of 32-year-old Andrew Entizne inside a car nearby, said Lt. Dave Okada with the Salem Police Department.
An autopsy Sunday confirmed Entizne died from a gunshot wound, Okada said. The case was being investigated as a homicide.
Entizne's family released a statement after his death, reading in part: "Andrew Entizne was a brother, uncle, and son that will be terribly missed by his family and friends. His untimely death has fractured hearts that only time can heal."
Anyone with information on the case or on Entizne's activities Friday night was asked to call the Salem Police Department at (503) 588-6123.
