CORVALLIS, Ore. – A young man was taken into custody Friday in connection with an online threat directed at the Oregon State University campus Thursday, police said.
Detectives from Corvallis police and the FBI took the 16-year-old into custody for disorderly conduct after he was identified as a person of interest in the case. The suspect is an Oregon resident but does not live in the Corvallis area, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.
On Thursday, police had more officers at the university as a result on the threat, but officials have not elaborated on the specifics of it.
