SALEM – Police released a sketch of a man Thursday who reportedly inappropriately touched a 10-year-old girl walking home from school in Salem.

Just before 4 p.m. on Oct. 8, the girl said she was walking home from Hallman Elementary School through Northgate Park in the 3000 block of Fairhaven Avenue Northeast when the man approached her and touched her, said Lt. Steve Birr with Salem Police.

The girl said she shoved the man and ran away.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man who is 40 to 50 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a chubby build. He reportedly had black crew cut hair and a mustache, Birr said.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call police at 503-540-2462.
