GRESHAM, Ore. -- A new Walmart store is scheduled to open in Gresham this summer and the company announced it will hire about 80 people to work there.
The hiring center began accepting applications May 14. The majority of the new employees would begin working in July, to prepare for an August opening of the store at 3900 W Powell Boulevard.
Walmart opened a temporary Gresham hiring center at 2240 SE 182nd Avenue, Suite 2240. People can also submit applications online.
"Associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory positions," store manager Shane McNeil said. The store was hiring for full and part-time positions.
