PORTLAND – A man wanted for questioning in a Portland bank robbery was arrested after a police chase involving a stolen car early Monday.
Multnomah County deputies said police tried to pull over a car stolen out of Hood River near the East Columbia River Highway off of I-84 just before 1 a.m.
Officers ended the pursuit due to unsafe speed, but the car was later spotted near the Troutdale Airport.
The car drove through a cyclone fence and onto a field, eventually crashing into a barrier near NW Graham Road and NE Harlow Place.
Officers arrested 44-year-old Roy Binion after a short chase on foot.
No one was hurt during the chase. Binion was arrested for unauthorized use of a vehicle, attempt to elude, reckless driving and criminal mischief. Deputies said he was wanted for questioning in connection with a bank robbery in Portland.
