GRESHAM, Ore. -- A Gresham Fred Meyer store was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after the Chase Bank inside it was robbed and a suspicious device was left behind, police said.

The robbery was reported at around noon, at 2475 Southeast Burnside Street, said Gresham police.

Officers at the scene found a suspicious device and evacuated the bank before deciding to evacuate the store. Customers and employees were allowed back in by 3 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries.
