GRESHAM – Three people were taken to the hospital, and another person had minor injuries, after getting hit by a car during a fight outside of a Shari’s restaurant in Gresham early Friday morning.

Police arrested 30-year-old Brad Eason for attempted murder, assault and DUII.

The fight happened around 4 a.m. at the restaurant near Southwest Highland Drive and Powell Boulevard.

Gresham police said a group of 12 people, including Eason, had left a bar and was ending their night at Shari’s when an argument started between Eason and two females.

The group went outside and a 21-year-old man got in a short physical fight with Eason before the two separated. Eason got in his Mercedes and was driving out of the lot when witnesses said they heard the car’s tires lose traction. Eason struck an SUV before driving onto the walkway, hitting the four victims, police said.

One 23-year-old man directly in front of the car hit the windshield before being thrown into a large window behind him, knocking out the window frame.

In all, three were taken to the hospital. Two people were released and a fourth did not seek treatment, police said. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
