CORVALLIS – A suspect was on the loose after attacking a woman at the Oregon State University campus late Tuesday night.
The woman, who is not a student, was walking in the area of Southwest 30th Street and Campus Way when she was hit on the head and knocked to the ground, according to Oregon State Police.
The man tried to remove some of her clothing, but the woman was able to fight him off, possibly causing a nose injury before he fled. She was not seriously hurt.
Detectives described the suspect as a white, in his early to mid-20s, approximately 6-feet tall with a bulky build, short dark hair, a thin face and bushy eyebrows. He was reported to be wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt with orange "OSU" outlined in white on the front, dark-colored jeans, and dark-colored tennis shoes. He also may have a nose injury or black eye from being hit, police said.
