EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- A man who pleaded guilty to child rape and sex abuse charges was sentenced Thursday in Eugene to 50 years in prison.
The Register-Guard reports the sentence for 33-year-old Joshua Clayton Bunn of Springfield is mandatory under the Oregon law known as Jessica's Law.
Lane County Circuit Court Judge Jay McAlpin said the sentence was justified because of Bunn' history of sex crimes. He spent nine years in prison on rape and sex abuse charges involving seven teenage girls. He was released in 2009.
