BORING, Ore. – A man intentionally crashed his RV into a tavern in Boring early Saturday morning, deputies said.
Around 2 a.m., the man crashed his RV into the Timber Tavern at 28052 SE Highway 212 just after it had closed for the night, said Marcus Mendoza with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
A small number of people were on scene when the crash happened. Arriving deputies spoke with the driver, and although he didn’t have any injuries from the crash, deputies noticed he had several self-inflicted wounds on his arms.
Deputies then determined the driver crashed the RV intentionally.
No one was hurt in the crash, but the driver was cited and taken to the hospital to have his wounds treated and his mental health evaluated, Mendoza said.
