LINCOLN CITY, Ore. – A woman was seriously injured after she flipped a van over and struck a telephone pole on Highway 18 Friday afternoon, police said.

Elisha Crippen, 26, from Otis, Ore. was driving about seven miles east of Highway 101 when she traveled off the road and down an embankment, causing her van to roll over and come to rest upside down, said Lt. Gregg Hastings with Oregon State Police.

Crippen was the only one in the van and was taken in an ambulance to a nearby hospital. She was then flown to Legacy Emanuel hospital in Portland for further treatment, Hastings said.
