MEDFORD, Ore. -- A Southern Oregon man accused of killing his wife and four young children in 2011 took an Alford plea Tuesday, which means he acknowledged that there was enough evidence to convict him.
Jordan Adam Criado, of Medford, admitted that he killed his wife but he blamed her for the deaths of their four children. Fire crews pulled all of them from a burning home and Criado was the lone survivor.
Criado’s sentencing has been scheduled for next month. Prosecutors said they will recommend life in prison without parole.
Tabasha Paige-Criado had made it clear on her Facebook page that she was not happy in her marriage to Jordan. She spent the night before she died out of the house, and police gave her a ride home from a convenience store after Criado reported her missing.
