PORTLAND -- Washington County deputies were investigating a home invasion robbery Friday afternoon.

Police were called to the home in the 5400 block of NW 181st Place just before 4 p.m.

Washington County Sgt. Dave Thompson said three men broke into the home through a back sliding glass door and tied up people inside the home.

The robbers tied up one of the male family members and stole jewelry and cash. No one was hurt. The victims said the men were black and had thick accents.

Two of the suspects were dressed in dark blue, UPS-type uniforms with ball caps, shirts and dark blue shorts. The third was in a striped polo shirt. One of the suspects had a shaved head. Two were thin, one was about 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a heavy build.

The victims said they had never seen the men before.

Detectives said there were some similarities to a recent robbery in Tualatin.
