WEST LINN, Ore. – There was an unusual sight on a West Linn beach this week, when a male sea lion set up camp on the north end of Mary S. Young Park.
Biologists tracking the sea lion said he was recovering from an injury, and that he was healing quite well.
But West Linn police want to make sure people give him space.
“Our concern is folks coming down to the river to get a look at him, adding to his stress,” said officer Mike Francis.
Signs were posted on the beach, warning people to stay at least 50 yards away from seals and sea lions.
