SHERWOOD, Ore. (AP) — The Washington County sheriff's office says a 15-year-old driver lost control of an SUV, crossed the center line and struck a Harley Davidson motorcycle in Sherwood.
The rider, 66-year-old Dale Smith of King City, was killed in the Thursday evening crash.
The sheriff's office says the 15-year-old driver has a valid Oregon instruction permit. There was a licensed driver and another passenger in the 2001 Chevrolet Suburban at the time. They were not injured.
The investigation will be forwarded to the Washington County district attorney's office for review.
