HILLSBORO, Ore. – A Hillsboro couple has shared surveillance video on YouTube, hoping it will help catch a man who cut through a bedroom screen and tried to get into their home Sunday evening.

The video shows a man walking up the driveway toward the home, in a neighborhood near Tualatin-Valley Highway and Southeast Minter Bridge Road, carrying something in his hand.

He stops and attempts to open the locked doors of a parked car, but then continues toward a bedroom window. The victim said the man cut the screen before she awoke and startled him. He did not enter the house and no injuries were reported.

The suspect ran away and was only described as a man in his twenties.

Anyone with information was asked to call Hillsboro Police.
