BEAVERTON – A man got several stitches in the back of his head after a fight turned into a hit-and-run early Sunday morning, police said.

The fight started in the parking lot of the Koreana Restaurant on Southwest Beaverton Hillsdale Highway just before 2 a.m., said Det. Sgt. Jim Shumway with the Beaverton Police Department.

Soongkoon Hong, 26, and another man were arguing in the parking lot and then got into their cars and left. They then drove into the adjacent parking lot of the Portland Music Company where Hong got out of his car and approached the front of the other vehicle.

Authorities said Hong grabbed and tore out a portion of the front grill of the other car. The driver then accelerated and struck Hong, causing him to fall onto the hood. The driver then struck a parked car, causing Hong to fall off the hood and hit his head on the ground.

Hong was taken to the hospital to get stitches in his head, Shumway said.

Authorities are looking for an Asian man in a white 2001 Mercedes C24 with front end damage and plates 575 FRY.

Anyone with information was asked to call Beaverton police at 503-969-6502.
