HILLSBORO -- A Bethany man who worked at the Gear Up Sports store in Beaverton has been arrested for multiple sex crimes involving young girls.

Stephen Douglas Webb, 44, was first accused of 10 sex crimes but detectives added 30 more after further investigation. He's behind bars on $2.3 million bail.

Sgt. Bob Ray told KGW that because Webb worked at a store popular with youths, there may be more victims. He was fired from the store last July.

The initial crimes involved girls ages 12 and 14 years old, he said.

Anyone with information was asked to call the sheriff's office at (503) 846-2500.
