Princeton, NJ -- A speech from a Princeton alumna has created a whirl of controversy after she said the most important thing women students can do is "find a husband on campus before you graduate," according to a report on msn.com.

Susan A. Patton was speaking during a school event called Women and Leadership when she made the remarks.

She also wrote an open letter to The Daily Princetonian which warned women that they may never find an intellectual equal outside of Princeton and should act quickly to hook 'em.

A copy of the controversial letter was also saved and posted on MailOnline.

Patton graduated from Princeton in 1977. One of her sons is a junior there now.
